I still love that Ron Paul was allowed a lot of airtime and debate time compared to the 3rd party candidates.

I mean, he had a good tactic.  Run as a republican and plays into the 2 party system so that he would get some airtime.   This is the same thing with Mike Gravel running as a democrat…

They are both libertarian.  I have insane respect for both of them.

I won’t be voting for Nader next election, because he’s too old now.  I like his agenda.  But we need to get some new Libertarians running, all of these old guys are about to kick the bucket.

I am fascinated by how the LDS church is so supportive of the Proposition 8 which denies certain people the ability to marry.

The LDS are the same group that for years fought for their right to have “Celestial Marriage“, (aka plural marriage), and after about 60 years of fighting the government to allow them to keep this religious institution a part of their religion..  They lost.

So now what, they want to deny other people in their marrital pursuits?!

UPR - Religion then apathy equals bad politics

This is just a left over thought of a conversation that I recently had with a brother that I met named Rob who is a regular street preacher in SLC and other LDS sites.

Rob and I have had a few brief conversations on the streets, first time was during the 2002 winter Olympics in SLC. I was passing out tracks and he was doing some street preaching.

Im not usually very fond of street preachers, but I like Rob. I’ve had his website linked on my site (behindzioncurtain.com) for years.

Rob and I aren’t seeing eye to eye on a few political issues. But after getting a few emails from Rob’s mailing list, I responded to him with a video that shows media bias (conservative stylee)..

Because Rob sent me a video that complains about liberal bias.

I think so-called conservatives, and so-called liberals aren’t the problem.

The problem is that corporations own our government. And we don’t get much of a choice who runs for president. THAT is the problem!
